[PT] Cheguei à hora inversa das sinfonias toscas daquele outrora meu entardecer.
Cheguei à praia fria de todos os gritos por versar, onde o vento não corre mas hesita, para trás e para diante, num silvo de luz falsa que me embala tanto quanto me atormenta.
Cheguei ao limbo azedo e brando de cada meu contentamento, ao prenúncio da aurora que não consegui ver. E àquela primavera antiga de perfume bizarro a frescor e bafio … que é ao que cheira a vida em cada prega do “ser-se neste mundo alguma coisa”.
Cheguei a essa margem singular de absurdos….e ao chegar lá, parei. Como numa asfixia que se tenha porque se esqueceu de como respirar.
Como se a vida inteira se transformasse em mar à nossa volta….e nos tornasse quietos por não sabermos mais para onde ir.
Qual pedaço de céu que nos escondesse do mundo e nos contasse a verdade sobre os mistérios todos…. de todos os lugares que não sabemos ver.
[EN] I reached the inverse hour of the rough symphonies of that lost evening of mine.
I reached the cold beach of all the screams yet to be versed, where the wind does not run but hesitates, back and forth, in a hiss of false light that lulls and torments me.
I reached the sour and bland limbo of each contentment, the presage of the dawn that I could not see, and that old spring with a bizarre scent of freshness and dust ... which is what life smells like in every fold of the “trying to be something in this world” .
I reached that singular margin of absurdity… and when I got there, I stopped. Like an asphyxiation that you have because you forgot how to breathe.
As if our whole lives were turned into the sea around us… and made us quiet because we didn't know where else to go.
Like a piece of the sky that would hide us from the world and tell us the truth abou all the mysteries…. and about all the places we don't know how to see.
[PT] Na arte de Gabriel Garcia, vemos outros cenários, outras histórias em que as fronteiras entre realidade e ficção são traçadas. A inquietação para uma narrativa é continua, mas às vezes despojada deixando pistas abertas para a perceção da passagem subsequente.
Gabriel Garcia nasceu na ilha do Pico, frequentou o "atelier" de expressão plástica da Academia das Artes de Ponta Delgada entre 1994 e 1995, orientado pelo pintor Filipe Franco. Licenciou-se em Pintura pela Faculdade de Belas Artes de Lisboa.
[EN] In Gabriel Garcia's art we see other scenarios, other stories where the boundaries between reality and fiction are drawn up. The restlessness for a narrative continues but sometimes stripped, leaving open clues to the perception of the subsequent passage.
Gabriel Garcia was born on the island of Pico, attended the "atelier" of plastic expression at the Academy of Arts of Ponta Delgada between 1994 and 1995, guided by the painter Filipe Franco. Graduated in Painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts of Lisbon.
[PT] Nietzsche considera a arte num dilema entre Apolo e Dionísio. Duas estéticas contrárias que se fundamentam e complementam.
Apolo o deus da harmonia, solar e racional, da proporção e escala, ligado às artes plásticas.
Dionísio celebra a aventura, o sublime da abstração, a noite ilimitada, a profundidade irracional da loucura e mais ligado ao encanto da música.
O filósofo aponta a união como o sentido ideal de arte, a sua origem e finalidade, um conflito aberto num êxtase de criação a fim de perpetuar a renovação da vida. Apolo o impulsionador da Bela Visão, majestático e nobre enquanto Dionísio é um iconoclasta, liberta o limite, apela á transcendência do vínculo.
"Sem destruição não há criação, sem trevas não há luz..." escreve Nietzsche. Apolo opera para abrir caminho a Dionísio, este opera no caos a liberdade mas suscita a Apolo o seu modus operandi de restabelecer a ordem. Os dois olham-se e afirmam a plenitude.
O Dilema é perpétuo mas na soma dos contrários nasce o Teorema.
[EN] Nietzsche considers art in a dilemma between Apollo and Dionysus. Two contrary aesthetics that ground and complement each other.
Apollo the god of harmony, solar and rational, of proportion and scale, linked to plastic arts.
Dionysus celebrates adventure, the sublime of abstraction, the limitless night, the irrational depth of madness and more connected to the charm of music.
The philosopher points to union as the ideal sense of art, its origin and purpose, an open conflict in an ecstasy of creation in order to perpetuate the renewal of life. Apollo the promoter of Great Vision, majestic and noble while Dionysus is an iconoclast, liberates the limit, appeals to the transcendence of the bond.
"Without destruction there is no creation, without darkness there is no light..." writes Nietzsche. Apollo works to make way for Dionysus, he operates freedom in chaos, but he gives Apollo his modus operandi to restore order. The two look at each other and affirm the fullness.
The Dilemma is perpetual but in the sum of the opposites, the Theorem is born.

Ainda assim todos dizemos, eu tomei essa ou aquela decisão tomando crédito por isso.
Posso “eu- o executor” ser encontrado em algum instante? e se sim, como irá parecer?
Posso tirar uma imagem disso? Que dilema para o pensamento...
Para quem? para o ''eu''? que entretanto ninguém viu???

[PT] Felipe Raizer é um artista visual e investigador brasileiro. As suas imagens procuram proporcionar novas formas de visualização e percepção através de técnicas que realizam o encontro da fotografia com outras áreas, como a Instalação, Escultura e Design.
Tendo o ambiente urbano como protagonista dos seus projetos, o qual aborda enquanto uma interface da vida humana contemporânea. Um espaço sempre mutante e significante que se ajusta conforme os usos de seus habitantes/visitantes. As imagens de Felipe Raizer revelam um mundo de possibilidades imagéticas e percetivas.
[EN] Felipe Raizer is a Brazilian visual artist and researcher. His images seek to provide new forms of visualization and perception through techniques that perform the encounter of photography with other media such as Installation, Sculpture and Design.
The artist has as protagonist of his poetic project the urban environment, which he approaches as an interface of contemporary human life. A space always mutant and significant that adjusts according to the uses of its habitants / visitors. Felipe Raizer’s images reveal a world of imagery and perceptual possibilities.
[PT] “Através da representação da figura humana, tento expressar diversos estados da alma. Às vezes acho que tento representar um momento específico, cristalizar, algo inerente à experiência humana… mas não sei exatamente o que é, em certa forma relacionado a emoções, sentimentos, sentidos...
O ser humano que me interessa pintar é alguém desprovido de adereços, não quero identificá-lo com um certo tempo, quero que ele se torne intemporal, como se pudesse ter vivido em épocas diferentes. Tecnicamente o meu material de eleição é o óleo sobre tela, e para mim faz todo o sentido representar um ser humano muito realista, quase palpável, e depois inseri-lo isolado num cenário etéreo.
[EN] “Through the representation of the human figure I have tried to express certain states of soul. Sometimes I think I'm also trying to represent a specific moment, crystallize, something inherent in human experience… but I do not know exactly what it is, somehow related to emotions, feelings, senses…
The human being who interests me to paint is someone devoid of props, I do not want to identify him with a certain time, I want him to become timeless, as if he could have lived at different time. [EN] “In most cases it´s the model I photograph that convey something to me at that time. Looking at them I search the moment where i can get into their essence. By painting I pass to the canvas what I feel, what I learn from the whole scenario, almost as if I can capture the theatricality of the essence of the human being and imprison it on the canvas.”
[PT] De muitas fibras é construído o percurso que traz Ricardo Passos desde 1963. Lisboa, onde trabalha na área do design gráfico, é também cidade onde vive apaixonado pelas artes plásticas.
As noções de equilíbrio visual aliadas à sua expressividade e sensibilidade, resultam no recorrente afastamento da representação convencional. A busca de um universo utópico - e por vezes distópico - na sua singularidade, torna-se o grande motivo da sua criação. Assim, a exuberância, o romantismo, a crueldade ou o sonho, são as temáticas trabalhadas.

[PT] As pinturas de Nuno Raminhos são fortemente influenciadas pela Pop Art e pelos cartoons clássicos. As personagens evocam lembranças de histórias em quadrinhos, muitas vezes movidas para fora de seu contexto original. A obra de Nuno Raminhos concretiza-se num horizonte pessoal límpido e próprio, um grafismo simbólico que combina banda desenhada com pintura.
Licenciado em Pintura pela Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade do Porto (FBAUP), realiza exposições individuais e coletivas, desde 1999, em diversas galerias nacionais e internacionais.
[EN] Nuno Raminhos paintings are strongly influenced by Pop Art and classic cartoons. His characters evoke memories of cartoon stories, sometimes moved out of their original context. The work of Nuno Raminhos concretized in is own and clear horizon, a symbolic graphics that combines comics with painting.
Graduated in Painting by the Faculty of Fine Arts of Porto (FBAUP), participates in solo and group exhibitions since 1999 in several national and international galleries.

[PT] O trabalho de Duma incide essencialmente sobre a figura feminina, retratando as suas várias facetas de uma forma enigmática e anónima. Sem qualquer pista em relação ao ambiente circundante, o observador é levado a imaginar a sua própria história em relação a cada personagem. As mulheres de Duma são repletas de glamour, inocentes mas também provocadoras; frágeis mas no entanto fortes- dicotomias do comportamento feminino mas do ser humano no geral.
Duma nasceu em Lisboa, onde terminou o curso de Publicidade no IADE e de Pintura e Desenho na Sociedade Nacional de Belas Artes de Lisboa.
[EN] Duma 's work focuses primarily on female figure, depicting various facets in a typically enigmatic, mysterious and anonymous way. Without the surrounding environment, the viewer is led to imagine a story for each character. These women’s characters are full of glamour, innocent but provocative, frail but also strong, dichotomies present in female but also human behaviour in general.
Duma was born in Lisbon, where she get the graduating in Advertising from IADE –Institute and Painting and Drawing at the National Society of Fine Arts Lisbon.
[PT] “O humano, carne e tinta. Tendo a figura humana como ponto de partida de toda a minha estrutura académica, procuro transcender, ou pelo menos questionar, as suas representações formais. Ao usar a pintura e o desenho como meios / mecanismos de representação, sou levado a indagar sobre possíveis pensamentos e processos paralelos, elaborando assim um léxico estético adequado para explorar a dinâmica dos assuntos por mim abordados.”
Emanuel De Sousa vive e trabalha em Edimburgo, frequentou o Curso de Belas Artes do Instituto Superior de Arte e Design da Universidade da Madeira, tendo mais tarde finalizado o seu percurso académico na Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade do Porto (Licenciatura em Belas Artes – Pintura).
[EN] “The human, flesh and paint. Having the Human Figure as a starting point of my traditional academic structure, I try to transcend, or at least question, it´s formal representations. By using painting and drawing as portrayal mediums/mechanisms, I’m driven to inquire about possible parallel thoughts and processes, thus elaborating on an adequate aesthetic lexicon in which to explore the dynamics of the subject matters I approach.”
Emanuel De Sousa lives and works in Edinburgh, previously attending the Fine Arts Course in the Instituto Superior of Arte and Design in Madeira University, later he finish is academic studies at Faculdade de Belas Artes in Porto (Degree in Fine Arts – Painting).

O seu realismo, o seu hiper-realismo, não é, no entanto, despido de profundidade e drama, bem pelo contrário. Os seus retratos captam emoções, congelam momentos irrepetíveis ao mesmo tempo que adensam a trama que se constitui em torno dos personagens plasmados na madeira. Não se trata, portanto, de fixar momentos de um quotidiano mundano, banal e inocente mas antes de desvelar tensões, de trazer para o exterior estados de alma.
[EN] Hugo Silva painting refers us to the classics in the minutia and resourcefulness of details, in the style and treatment of details. The way he develops his draperies, for example, evokes Phidias - the Greek, the extraordinary sculptor of Classical Greece which influenced so much the Medieval painters.
His realism, his hyperrealism, is not, however, bared of depth and drama, quite the opposite. His portraits capture emotions, freeze unrepeatable moments as at the same time deepening the plot surrounding the characters embodied in the wood. It is not, therefore, a matter of fixing moments of a mundane, banal and innocent daily life, but instead that of unveiling tensions, of exteriorize states of soul.
